As an Accredited Practising Dietitian, Kirsty can help with nutrition advice for many aspects of health and disease. Kirsty does have extensive experience in sports nutrition, and her involvement in nutrition research for Type 2 Diabetes, fatty liver disease, heart disease, obesity and generally staying healthy means that she can help these clients also.
Kirsty specialises in helping clients to improve their body composition, whether it be losing body fat or gaining muscle mass – whatever your activity level. Weight loss can be beneficial for people with arthritis to reduce pain, and for other chronic metabolic diseases such as Type 2 Diabetes, Cardiovascular disease, Fatty liver disease, Gout, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and Sleep Apnoea. Currently she is researching how dietary strategies might alleviate long-term inflammation and optimise brain health as we age.
Kirsty also really enjoys working with adolescents and teenagers – helping them to enjoy a healthier lifestyle and maximise their potential in either study or sport. She has a friendly and approachable personality that is well suited to helping this age group gain confidence in their diet, their body and in their life.
